Mondrian’s choreography also infused the rhythmic blocks in this painting that he titled after the boogie woogie, an improvised yet complex dance of primary-colored squares and rectangles.

In this series Mondrian divided the canvas into squares and rectangles by vertical and horizontal lines which he filled with color to balance and add dynamism to the works.
