Francisco Lindor hit the ground running in the Mets home opener literally, legging out a first inning double and scoring on Pete Alonso's two-run homer. Lindor thought the atmosphere was "fantastic." He called timeout at one point because he wanted to hear the fans.

Jose Siri drew a one-out walk from Nick Sandlin and moved to second on a wild pitch. Luis Torrens – a late scratch from the lineup because of a right forearm contusion who entered the game at catcher in the eighth – floated a single to left. Siri stopped at third.

Francisco Lindor’s walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth capped an improbable 3-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays at Citi Field. Jose Siri scored the winning run, giving Lindor the seventh walk-off RBI of his career.
