Ohio State visited the White House on Monday to commemorate its national championship victory last season, and after President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and coach Ryan Day all publicly praised the Buckeyes on the South Lawn, Vance went to hoist the national championship trophy.

OSU won four straight games, including the Jan. 20 title contest, in the first expanded 12-team College Football Playoff, and they brought the resulting trophy to the South Lawn – a trophy that Vice President JD Vance dropped as he went to lift it.
