Air India said a flight from Chicago to Delhi was disrupted when eight of the 12 lavatories on the plane, a Boeing 777, were rendered “unserviceable.”

Passengers onboard Air India Flight #126 discovered this on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. While en route to India, the cabin experienced some rather unusual setbacks that caused the aircraft to deviate from its scheduled plan and return to Chicago O'Hare International Airport.

The airline spokesperson said that alternative arrangements were made in time for the passengers to take them to their destination.
