In a Met Office livestream about UK weather, meteorologist Honor Criswick said the aurora looks to be "quite bright" across northern parts of Scotland, with clear spells offering sky watchers "a good chance of seeing [aurora] tonight".

Usually, the Northern Lights are visible in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, Canada, the north of American state Alaska and northern Siberia in Russia. They are rarely seen in the UK.
