The eighth-seeded Wolverines upset No. 2 seed and ninth-ranked UCLA 2-0 on Saturday in West Lafayette, Indiana, to win their second straight Big Ten Tournament title. Michigan (37-19) entered the postseason on the NCAA Tournament bubble but has secured an automatic berth with a conference championship.

With the win, Michigan not only secured the Big Ten's automatic bid to the NCAA Softball Tournament but also claimed its 12th Big Ten conference tournament title in program history. It is just the fourth time that UCLA has been shut out in a season.
