China is threatening legal action against anyone enforcing the U.S.' recent guidelines against using Huawei's AI chips.

The Chinese government accused the Trump administration of undermining recent trade talks in Geneva after it warned that using Huawei Technologies Co.’s artificial-intelligence chips “anywhere in the world” would violate US export controls.

Washington's recent revocation of Biden-era rules governing access to artificial-intelligence chips does not mean that the US is easing its curbs on China's technological development, according to analysts who instead see the move as a more targeted approach being taken in the race for tech supremacy.
