Super Typhoon makes landfall with sustained winds of up to 125mph, destroying houses and powerlines on it path

Hundreds of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes as Super Typhoon Man-yi is making landfall along the eastern coast of Catanduanes, Philippines on Saturday.

Typhoon Man-yi was bringing heavy rain and powerful winds to the Philippines on Sunday, hours after making landfall in a nation still recovering from a series of recent storms that killed more than 160 people and caused widespread damage.
