The New Orleans Saints have one of the more intriguing rookies in the National Football League right now. New Orleans selected Kelvin Banks Jr. with the No. 9 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but he hasn't been the guy who has been talked about the most.

Now Shough, the Saints' second-round pick (No. 40 overall) and the franchise's highest-drafted quarterback since Archie Manning was taken No. 2 overall in 1971, officially will be competing for the starting position with Spencer Rattler, who's entering his second year, and Jake Haener, who will be in his third.

Shough was rated as the No. 113 overall player and the No. 7 quarterback in the draft class by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department. The Saints were much higher on Shough as they made him the third quarterback off the board at No. 40 overall.
