Dallas acquired forward Mikael Granlund and defenseman Cody Ceci through a trade with the San Jose Sharks, the team announced Saturday morning. To acquire both players, the Stars are sending two draft picks (a 2025 first-rounder and a conditional third-round pick) to San Jose.

Dallas sent a 2025 first-round pick and a conditional third-round pick to San Jose for Granlund and Ceci just over a week before the league takes a break for the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.

Granlund has recorded 45 points in 52 regular-season contests with San Jose during the 2024-25 campaign, while Ceci ranks first on the club in TOI, second in points and second in assists among Sharks
