Tottenham Hotspur defenders Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are still two or three weeks away from returning but the club's injury list is slowly improving, says manager Ange Postecoglou.

Ange Postecoglou is hopeful Tottenham will have key duo Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven available for when the club resume their Europa League campaign next month. Spurs were knocked out of two competitions in the space of 72 hours last week to leave the Europa League as their only chance of silverware this term.

Micky van de Ven will miss Tottenham Hotspur’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool on Thursday with injury. Van de Ven, 23, made his return to the side against Swedish club Elfsborg in the Europa League on January 30, playing the first half before being replaced by Radu Dragusin.
