Jackson Holliday, engrossed in an 0-for-17 slump, blasted a grand slam in the second inning Wednesday to lead the Orioles over Cleveland.

The Orioles needed an effective start out of their rotation. They needed a big swing that might deaden their slump. Perhaps they could regain some authority and quiet a few critics.Dean Kremer spun 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball tonight and Jackson Holliday marked his return to the lineup with a grand slam.

Holliday blasted his second career grand slam in the second inning of Baltimore's 9-1 win over Cleveland on Wednesday, and joined Fritzie Connally (1983) and Brian Roberts (2001-03) as the only Orioles to have two of his first seven big league home runs to be grand slams.
