Apple has released iOS 18.0.1, fixing two security flaws and a number of bugs in its iOS 18 software. Here's what's fixed.

Apple's iOS 18.0.1 is out, and it brings fixes for several issues that have troubled iPhone 16 and 16 Pro owners.

The iOS 18.0.1 update is primarily aimed at resolving an issue with the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro touchscreens becoming temporarily unresponsive. In addition to this, the update also includes a fix for a specific problem that causes the camera to freeze when recording a macro mode video on the ultrawide camera of the iPhone 16 Pro under certain conditions.

A separate update for iPad could finally bring iPadOS 18 to iPad Pro models that were bricked by the software earlier this month

The two options on the dialog will be Don’t Allow (so block access) and Continue —and if you tap on Continue, that’s where the new approach comes in. You can then either tap Select Contacts to pick specific people that the app can see the details of, or choose Full Access to give the app free reign.
