Iga Swiatek has recovered from losing the first six games of the match to defeat Madison Keys 0-6, 6-3, 6-2 and stay on track to defend her title at the Madrid Open.

Iga Swiatek is known for her dominance on clay courts, but Wednesday's quarterfinal match against Madison Keys at the Madrid Open got off to an inauspicious start for the Queen of Clay. Keys handed Swiatek her first bagel on a clay court since 2019.

A couple of minutes later, the fear became reality, as Madison Keys served up the first 6-0 set, or bagel, that Świątek has received in almost four years. Not since a match against Daria Kasatkina at Eastbourne in England in June 2021 had she lost a set 6-0.
