Helsing, the German defense tech startup backed by Spotify’s Daniel Ek and others, is producing 6,000 HX-2 strike drones in addition to the 4,000 HF-1

A European defense technology company said it will produce 6,000 AI-assisted drones for Ukraine. Munich-based Helsing said on Thursday that it will supply Kyiv with the X-wing HX-2 electrically propelled drones that have a range of up to 100 km.

European defence technology company Helsing is increasing its production of the HX-2 strike software-defined, mass-producible strike drones to meet the growing demand from Ukraine. The production scale up follows additional orders and comes on the heels of an ongoing delivery of 4000 HF-1 strike drones,

The German defence company Helsing will produce 6,000 more HX-2 combat drones for Ukraine, following an already completed delivery of 4,000 combat drones, the company announced in Munich on Thursday.

This marks the second batch of drones produced for Ukraine, following an initial delivery of 4,000 units. The drones feature advanced AI technology that provides full protection against electronic warfare measures.
