Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says the number of suspects detained in connection with the deadly hotel fire at a ski resort has increased to 14.

Turkey has detained nine people, including the owner of the hotel, in connection with a deadly fire that claimed the lives of 76 people and injured dozens at a ski resort in western Turkey, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said early Wednesday.

A fire engulfed a hotel at the popular Kartalkaya ski resort in northwestern Turkey early Tuesday, killing 10 people died and injuring 32 others, the interior minister said.The health, interior and culture ministers are expected to visit the site later in the day. fo/hmw/ach
