Pitcher Shane Smith, picked by the Chicago White Sox in the Rule 5 draft, is passing challenges this spring “with flying colors,” pitching coach Ethan Katz said.
Shane Smith, who got poached from the Milwaukee Brewers in last December's Rule 5 Draft, is officially going to open the 2025 season on the Chicago White Sox's pitching staff.
Smith will open the season in the White Sox rotation, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
