Afghanistan suffered a big blow ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025 as the young spinner was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. Ghazanfar will miss the IPL 2025 season due to the injury.

Mumbai Indians’ Afghanistan spin sensation Allah Ghazanfar has been ruled out of action for up to four months, leaving the youngster out of the Champions Trophy tournament that is slated to begin next week in Pakistan.

The IPL is scheduled to take place from March 21 to May 25 and Ghazanfar was to make his maiden appearance at the event after being bought by Mumbai Indians.

Spinner Allah Ghazanfar from Afghanistan will miss the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to a fracture in his vertebra. The injury, sustained during a recent tour of Zimbabwe, will sideline him for at least four months.

Afghanistan are also without Mujeeb Ur Rahman at the Champions Trophy, though he played the entire SA20 for Paarl Royals
