I suggest to move first with a smaller group of 4--5 People , See ,Explore & then you can decide to go with a bigger group once you can do a detailed analysis of the area . I'm not aware of any day trips at the moment sorry! You can get public transport though - make your way to the Lilydale train line and get off at Lilydale Station to catch the 683 bus as that …

You can get public transport though - make your way to the Lilydale train line and get off at Lilydale Station to catch the 683 bus as that runs to Warburton. Only downside is that this method will take about 3 hours. Sorry I can't be more helpful!
