We are wondering how many days we should book a canal boat to travel the Lancaster Canal would 4 be enough?

No you need at least a week to really enjoy the experience. Two would be better to explore the surrounding area. At least a day to scratch the surface of Lancaster.
When is the best time to go on this canal? Are there nicevillages and pubs on the way?
