Ok,well I have double checked & found mandate show the Aomori station quite clearly. I understand it is about 15 mins walk. I will check with TI on the docks & get a taxi if necessary. We are both fit and good walkers and confident travellers so I am happy we will be OK.

Yes the renovations are still going on. Same time last year we were blessed to see sakuras in full bloom, this time none, however it is still beautiful with or without.
