Our very strange experience at this place began at the door when the maitre d' told us it "wouldn't be a good idea" to have a drink in the bar area of the restaurant while we waited for our dinner ta…Full review by Inspire813229

Fun live music venue. There were authentic New Orleans food options including alligator and crawfish. The food was good, and the atmosphere was friendly for couples and families.Full review by MarchingMom

What time should I arrive on a Saturday night to get a table near the bands? I want to see the musicians play. Should I make a reservation for the $40.00 dinner package? Or, if I arrived early, could I get a good table? I am going on Sat. Dec. 28th.

If you are making reservations, it would probably be best to do so in the earlier evening, like around 7 or 8 pm. My personal experience had me there around midnight. The place, the entire street, every bar and lounge in the vicinity was live. If you are the type to enjoy the night life, you may get more out of this place during those hours than early evening. But if you are trying to make reservations, make them for around 7 to 8 pm.
Depending on the band playing, they may not dig it. It is a bar, after all. And, it is not kid's music, generally. But, if you want to expose them to NOLA culture ... give it a try.
is it open on tuesday and do you need at reservation
A:
Yes, it's open 7 days a week. You do not need a reservation but can prepay for a dinner package on their website if you would like to guarantee a table close to the stage.
