A very sad memorial site. At least one of the concentration/death camps should be seen some time so everyone can learn why we shouldn't let some things happen or how things can get out of control if …Full review by 388berkea

We are planning to go in the morning 4 January, I see the first English guide tour is at 11h00. Will the audio tour be fine and how long is the audio tour? Thanks

My wife and I just walked around Dachau. You can pick-up the audio guides in the front of the complex. There is also a movie to see. Personally, I am not patient with audio, my wife is OK with it. The complex is fairly self-explanatory. The museum also has English script. After seeing Dachau, my wife did not want anything to do with Hitler. Thus, we did not go up to Eagles Nest. Luckily, I was there in 1979. Happy Trails.
Dogs are not permitted anywhere on the grounds. Service dogs that perform specific tasks (guide dogs for the blind as one example) are permitted. Refer to the website for more specifics.
I understand there are only two English tours per day. Has anyone been on these and know if they sell out quickly? I know there are audio tours, but we’d prefer one led by a person.

They do sell out quickly and there is no way to resend except to show up. They are several tour companies who offer guided tours that can be booked in advance.
