Crazy thing to try to do. This is a very steep climb, hard going up, but coming down worse. We are both in our mid 70's, got about 3/4 of the way up, then realised what could happen if we stumbled co…Full review by Jenn P

The camping area at bald Rock is not that large so it would not take too many to fill it up especially at holiday times and looking at the facilities I would not like to be there if it was. However the advice to ring the Tenterfield info centre is a sound one as they should be able to provide info on how many sites are taken etc so that you can make a factual decision. If you go do the long walk up and the shorter one down as they are both excellent for different reasons.
Q:
Is the road in tarred or dirt?
A:
fully tarred. great parking
Q:
Can you climb up at sunset and get some night photos? Are you able to get up and down at night?
A:
