WEBSep 20, 2023 · T14s AMD Gen 4 first impressions. Review / Opinion. Got a T14s AMD Gen 4 a few days ago. Specs: Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U, 32GiB RAM, 2.8K OLED, 1 TiB SSD. I like it a lot: the Ryzen is fast (also AMD yay) the keyboard is much better than on the Gen 9. the screen is much better than what I had previously. It's very non-glaring and bright.

WEBJul 16, 2023 · T14s is better than the X1 Carbon. Lenovo refuses to offer its X1 models with AMD CPUs - perhaps there is an exclusive contract with Intel. The next best model with the AMD Ryzen 6000 is the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s G3. Even though it is positioned below the X1 Carbon in Lenovo's lineup, it is better in many ways.

The laptop has a great keyboard, speed, and quality... no need to mention. But, the only small problem that made my experience worse than before, is the overheating issue.

WEBAug 8, 2023 · The P14s and T14 are literally the same laptop. The only difference is the writing on the bezel, so between those get whichever you can find cheaper for the specs you want. T14s is the thinner version, has slightly better build quality ad materials (not that the standard T14 feels bad though), but also probably slightly more restrictive thermals.

WEBMay 23, 2023 · T14 gen 3 and t14s gen 3 support bios downgrade. Ask to lenovo support for R23ET47W 1.17 (which is first release) bios version. They will give you the right firmware and a text file for downgrade steps. Follow the steps and downgrade bios to 1.17. After that you can see different sleep settings in bios.
