WEBSep 20, 2023 · IBM and Lenovo ThinkPad laptop enthusiasts! T14s AMD Gen 4 first impressions. Got a T14s AMD Gen 4 a few days ago. Specs: Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U, 32GiB RAM, 2.8K OLED, 1 TiB SSD. I like it a lot: the screen is much better than what I had previously. It's very non-glaring and bright.

WEBJul 16, 2023 · The 300nit rated screen actually tests about 10-15% brighter. I use it outside with no probs. The T14s 400nit low power screen is great also, though side by side in a real world comparison you don't see a massive difference. Battery life on both is excellent with the T14s managing a slight lead due to a bit larger battery offered.

Considering between T14s Gen 4 (AMD) and T14s Gen 5 (Intel)
WEBAs stated in the title, I'm currently pursuing a degree in business. (will need to do a lot of Excel) This is going to be my first ThinkPad laptop. 😆. Currently, the T14s Intel (Gen 5) is cheaper due to the discount code compared to the T14s AMD (Gen 4) by 60 SGD. I read a lot of threads here that the AMD version is superior to the Intel one.
